Interests: My primary interest now is spending time with my hubby. We love to go for walks and out for picnics when we can. And also dreaming about all the traveling that we will someday do. I also love sports: basketball, volleyball, tennis, football. I love to eat good food, especially good dessert...i.e...anything chocolate or ice cream. Oh and I can't forget Chi-town. I love Chicago now even more than before since I live in this hot and humid place of East Texas. Chicago is the best place on this planet - hot dogs, pizza, gyros, the bears, the cubs, the bulls, family, friends, and the list could go on.

Howdy.  Just wanted to post this link quick.  It's for my online photo albums which include some wedding photos.  I have more to add, but just haven't gotten to it yet and I know Rae wanted to see some =)  And hopefully it'll keep you all more updated with my happenings as I update my photos as well.

It's funny...it being life.  When I reflect on everything and think about all the different people that have been a part of my short life, it gives me a weird feeling.  Something I don't quite know how to express.  When I think about all these different people I can't help but think of all the people that have come and gone.  Some people you expect to drift away from someday, but others you would have bet your life on staying friends through everything.  It's just so...I don't know...I can't think of the exact word.  Nothing crazy happened recently for me to be thinking about this, but sometimes I just think about people who I used consider my closest friends.  I wonder how they are, what they are doing.  And I hope that things ended well between us, I guess when you just stop talking there really isn't some bitter ending.  People get busy, move away, drift apart.

Sometimes I feel like I am standing on the corner of a busy intersection and everyone I've ever met is walking by as I observe all the people who have touched my life in one way or another.  Certain memories come back instantly...certain people stick out...different emotions surface.  Overall I just feel blessed.  Over the years I have made some really awesome friends who have helped me develop into who I am today.  And I am also thankful for the friends who are currently a part of my life today.

The stages of life just seem to fly by.  I mean seriously, I'm married already!  Who woulda thunk?!  I don't want anyone to get the idea that I'm stuck in the past or anything because I couldn't be happier right now where I'm at in life (well, I could be somewhere else than east Texas =), but tonight I was just struck by this as I was laying around being lazy today.

God is good and he is faithful and I am so incredibly thankful for that.  I am thankful for those who have played important roles throughout my life.  I can't ask for much more...I already have an amazing God, great friends, a loving husband, and a supportive family.  So maybe sometimes life is funny, but now I'm thinking life is good, really good.

So I did something crazy yesterday.  I became a Mary Kay consultant.  Yes I know, doesn't seem like me.  I've never even used Mary Kay before.  But I was persuaded to join the "team."  It's actually a good easy way to make money.  And I actually think I'm going to enjoy it.  If any of you want to buy something =) you can go to my website www.marykay.com/allistanley.  However, seeing most of my friends are college aged I am going to have to break out of my shell and meet some new older people who actually have money.

So other than that nothing is new.  Jason is out of town this weekend.  He's actually flying into the DuPage airport today to meet with my parents for some good Chicago-style pizza.  And then he's flying up to Delavan and staying with my grandparents for the night.  He went on a cross-country with two students and another flight instructor.  Just wish I could have gone with.

Well, I should get going.  I'm working in the nursery this morning at church for the first time.  I'm excited to play with the little kids.

Adios everyone. <><

This weekend was a blast.  It was great to see family and friends.

Here's a picture of Elizabeth, Britta and myself.  Those girls are just too cute.  My youngest cousin, Sara, is walking already!  It's amazing how fast they grow up.

I flew in on Saturday and my mom took me out to dinner and shopping.  I got a bunch of "teacher" clothes.  They are cute.  I got 3 skirts, a pair of khaki trousers, 3 shirts, and 2 sweaters.  I'm set and very excited to have gotten to go shopping.  After we went shopping, we all (Konrad, Clara, Mom, and myself) went to Culvers and got some custard.  It was so good.

Sunday was graduation.  I was able to see quite a few people at Westminster.  It was nice to catch up with some people.  Sunday night I went out with Mugs and Amberly.  It was great to hang out with them.  I can't believe that Mugs is going to college.  It's crazy.  After Applebee's we went over to the Wetendorf's.  It was just like old times hanging out with everyone.  I haven't stayed up that late in months.  Married life turns you into an old fart when it comes to your bed time.

Monday was family day. We went up to Wisconsin to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a lot of fun.Konrad, Mom, Grandma, and I played a game of tennis. Grandma and I beat Konrad and Mom, but it was a close match. And of course being at Grandma's I ate and ate and ate.It was a nice weekend. I was glad to be home. But of course it's great to be back home with my hubby. It'll be fun to go back home this summer with Jas.

Ok...everyone is in shock now.  Yes I am actually writing in my xanga.  Only a little over a year after my last entry.  It's amazing how much has changed since I last wrote in here.  Absolutely amazing...

So just to let you all know, married life is great.  We are having a lot of fun being poor and in love =)  Only a couple more months until our overly anticipated honeymoon to the beautiful island of Maui.

Second semester was great.  I did really well in school this semester.  My best semester ever actually.  It's amazing what Jason can do with my bad habit of procrastination.  Currently I'm just working from home, watching a lot of day time television while I sit and program all day.  Dr. Phil and Oprah have become my afternoon friends until Jason gets home.

So between work and my hubby not much else is new.  I am going home this weekend for Margeaux's graduation (I can't believe she's that old already).  I am excited to see my family and some friends.  I start summer school when I get back.  Taking two bible classes this summer which will also keep me busy.

Well, I'm going to get back to reality.  I'll try to actually update this thing a little more frequently.

Adios. <><
